Head Coach Dave Caroffino

Growing up in mid-Michigan, Dave started playing soccer when he was 5 and spent countless weekends in the spring and fall at the Midland Soccer Club. He played high school soccer at Calvary Baptist Academy and was part of the varsity team that made four consecutive appearances in the State Finals in the Michigan Association of Christian Schools Division 1. He played on intramural and recreational teams at Lake Superior State University and the University of Minnesota, before transitioning into coaching. Dave has coached youth teams in Traverse City and Petoskey, and started with Harbor Light when the soccer program returned in 2021.
Dave loves being around the game of soccer, but for him, the truly rewarding aspect of coaching is seeing the players grow and develop both individually and as a team. The soccer season is short, but investing time into the players at HLCS returns huge dividends through the opportunity to make a positive impact and be a part of the life lessons that can be learned on the field.
Coach Caroffino will be assisted by Phil Marihugh, in his second season in the program.
